Babette’s Kitchen
3293 Franklin Avenue, Millbrook
Bacon egg and cheese — $6.50
Breakfast wrap — $9.50
French toast — $9.50
We like the breakfast wrap! It is arguably big enough to feed two people—two reasonably hungry people. Only 1 of 4 Babette’s regulars we asked thinks they could eat the whole thing.

Golden Russet
835 Fiddlers Bridge Road, Rhinebeck
Bacon egg and cheese — $6
Griddled banana bread — $4.25
The Golden Russet has a bit of a cult following, for good reason. The breakfast menu is short but perfect: a very good breakfast sandwich, a suspiciously good slice of banana bread, a yogurt parfait, and overnight oats.

Rhinebeck Bagels
31 W. Market Street, Rhinebeck
Bacon egg and cheese — $6
Bagel with cream cheese — $3
Lox bagel — $9
Rhinebeck Bagels is an unusually good bagel shop. Owner Jeremy brings herbs and vegetables from his garden to the shop to make special cream cheeses—or forages ramps in the spring. Last year he surprised and delighted everyone in the dead of winter by producing ramp cream cheese from some ramps he had frozen. Their watermelon lemonade is the most refreshing liquid we have here on Earth. Sometimes they’ll make a limited quantity of something special like lobster rolls and they sell out right away.

Sól: Açaí Smoothie Bar
41 E. Market Street, Rhinebeck
Smoothies — $8
Smoothie bowls — $13.50
Toasts — $4-8.50
We make most of our smoothies in the house these days but we love to get smoothie bowls here. We could put stuff in a bowl like this ourselves too but if we had chocolate chips and coconut flakes in the house one of us (hello) would eat them all.

Bliss has some of our favorite juices—and some fun things like flavored almond “mylks” (pink, golden, matcha, chocolate, and vanilla) and superfood lattes (rose London fog, golden, blue lavender, mint cocoa, coconut matcha, and a few more flavors).⠀T⠀W⠀T⠀F⠀SS⠀M
