This burger is one of the better burgers around. There are a few other strong contenders—King’s Highway Cider Shack and Canoe Hill are also favorites—and each is good in its own particular way. This one has the benefits of being available year-round and at lunchtime. This is the burger a cartoon character turns their head into a burger for.

Rhinebeck Bagels is an unusually good bagel shop. Owner Jeremy brings herbs and vegetables from his garden to the shop to make special cream cheeses—or forages ramps in the spring. Last year he surprised and delighted everyone in the dead of winter by producing ramp cream cheese from some ramps he had frozen. Their watermelon lemonade is the most refreshing liquid we have here on Earth. Sometimes they’ll make a limited quantity of something special like lobster rolls and they sell out right away.

Bubby’s used to operate out of a little trailer parked where Montgomery Place Orchards has their farmstand now (seasonally) and they made everyone fall in love with their burritos. They still make the “Stand Burrito” in the style that earned them many loyal customers in early days.S⠀M
